Position Overview
As a Project Manager at Softek, you will lead federal IT projects from initiation through delivery, using Agile methodologies to manage scope, schedule, and budget. You will serve as the primary point of contact for government clients, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure projects meet contractual obligations and quality standards. You will drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and maintain strong relationships with federal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for federal IT contracts
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk using Agile methodologies
- Serve as primary point of contact for government clients and contracting officers
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Track and report on project metrics, milestones, and deliverables
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and designers
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in IT
- PMP, CSM, or SAFe Agilist certification
- Experience managing federal government contracts
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CPARS reporting and contract deliverables
- Familiarity with federal acquisition processes (FAR/DFAR)
- Experience managing teams of 10+ across multiple locations
- Background in IT modernization or cloud migration projects
